Located just 12 minutes from town, you’re far enough away to feel like you’re on an island but close enough to get what you need. The east side of the island, facing Lake Michigan has been a target of erosion for several years. We lost 150 feet of grassy and sandy beach over the past few years and nearly lost the home. While completely safe and inspected, you will see where erosion hasn't been kind up and down the coast. We have chosen to let nature take root in the sand, providing an unkept natural look, in hopes that the wind erosion will cease, and our beautiful shoreline will return to it's glory. There is a rocky wall that helped keep the rising lake water away from a few years ago. And as the lake has gone down, we've now gained 45 feet of beach that we did not have in 2020.
