Honestly the views are spectacular and the hike is not too intense, and we had a really good time on the trail. There was a surprising amount of trash along the trail. It used to be kept clean, guess… Full review by D6792LXnickn

Hi, this is regarding your camping in Arkansas last August. We are thinking of going and I wonder how hot and humid it was. You mentioned there was no water in the waterfalls. Was it too hot to hike? I lived in BKK so I know hot and humid, you probably thought Petite Jean wasn't too hot but... if you were a local from Arkansas, was it too hot and dry for camping? Were the trees green? Thanks! and Sawadee ka Kirsten

Sorry - i really can’t help - we weren’t there in August. Maybe check in with park ranger at parks you wish to visit and get a bead on the weather?
I understand that the Visitor Center is closed on major Holidays (Christmas Thanksgiving New Years) but wondering if you can still access the park and trails on a holiday. I’ve never visited an Arkansas State Park before so not sure if there are park gates to restrict access.

There was not a gate to access the park, but there is a gate on the scenic drive that potentially could close. I would call the state park for clarification.
