This park is a fantastic tribute. Set in a peaceful park, well set out. Sad to see how many names have had to have been added. A must visit Full review by Waynetraveller

My name is Michael McInnis. I am a retired San Antonio Police Detective. My son's name is on The Wall. My question is, who determines whose name is placed on the wall. I'm sure it's NLEOM and not the Chief of Police in San Antonio. I'm investigating why one of our officers, Nathan Murray, who was shot in 2003 and died in 2015. It is my belief Nathan Murray died because of his wounds. A movement was made to have him added to the Police Memorial Wall in San Antonio but was declined by Chief William McManus. Murray had suffered a stroke and then cancer. The stroke was caused by a bullet wound in the neck. I'm not sure if the cancer was the result of his injuries. I don't believe the chief has the authority to yay or nay who gets to be added to The Wall. Thank you.

Good evening Michael, I visited the memorial during my recent visit to Washington DC. Unfortunately I don’t know how the names are chosen. I’m so sorry to here about Nathan, in my opinion every law enforcement office, police man or woman who lose their lives in their line of duty should and must be remembered for all to see. I’m so sorry I’m unable to help, but I would like to pass on my best wishes to you and the whole Law Enforcement community in USA. Regards, Sean UK
