Beautiful State Park. Sites are surrounded by trees making them very private. Several have nice lake views. Site 30 has a lake view but is very uneven. Full review by VagabondCher

We saw quite a few people tent camping .... camp sites are well set up for it. Our kids are grown, so we travel most in spring or fall to enjoy more moderate temps. North Texas gets pretty hot in July and August, I'd shoot for April - June and late Sept to October. November works, too...there might be light frosts in November but temps will generally climb back to mid 60s or higher in the day.
