I'm afraid I can't help with accommodation advice as we were staying at a friend's house. We arrived at about 10 am and spent all morning there before having lunch in the very good cafe. There were no shows on as such that day but it so happened that there were some children from a local school dressed up in costumes doing various activities and on a treasure hunt while we there which gave added interest. We went on a week day and I think that they do shows on Sundays but you could probably find out more specific details from their web site or by calling. I think your kids will love it, and there is plenty there for adults as well. Hope that helps
