There is no food on the actual island, but there are multiple places at the beginning of the walkway to the castle. We ate at Kybynlar and had a great meal.

I wouldn't wait for Sunset in trakai. It's much nicer during the day where you can enjoy the castle as well as paddle boarding or a boat ride on the lake around the castle which is highly recommended. Anyway the sun doesn't set till very late during the summer there. Hope this helps
