Beautiful park, with plenty of history recorded. We saw a family of deer, walked almost the entire park. Was beautiful weather and loved learning the history of the lighthouse(s). Full review by S9691GVjackier

Hello! From what I read the best time is around August 30. Which is kind of right now! Look up Monarch butterfly and Tawas on Google. Excellent Info. There.

Hi. Yes. Great question. I'm not exact on dates but I think it just began. We saw more than the usual few. It became apparent to me then that season might be starting.

The parking lot is only a few minutes walk to the light house, and the camp grounds are a 5 or 10 minute walk away.
