I wouldn't recommend swimming Sweetwater Creek, as beautiful as it is, it's not known for being the cleanist of rivers and full of rocks and rapids and wildlife. I would recommend swimming in the George H. Sparks reservoir lake if anything.
Q:
Can you swim in the river?
A:
I wouldn't. It is usually rushing water so might be dangerous. You can get in the water at certain areas. We take off our shoes and wade or walk on the rocks.
