Sumilao, officially the Municipality of Sumilao, is a municipality in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 29,531 people. A story has been told that there lived a man named Walu who possessed supernatural powers. Many believed that he lives somewhere in Kilabong, a place near Palaopao Hill. Time came when seven “baylan”, who were living at the plain below, fabricated degrading stories against Walu.
