A review of the Wiener Staatsoper, or the oprea house in Vienna, shouldn't really be necessary. Let this just serve as a reminder of what NOT to miss while in this beautiful city. The house , built i… Full review by Carl H
I am planning to buy the Vienna pass, which allows me to enter the state opera house for free. However, I still need to reserve a spot for a guided tour to be able to enter. But when I go to the Vienna state opera house website to reserve, all the options for the tickets are paid ones, and I cannot seem to find a place where I can tick that I have the Vienna pass and should get these tickets for free. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, any suggestions on what to do? Vienna state opera website for guided tours are all paid tours. How to get the Vienna pass discount?
Hello, I just made a booking for the Vienna State opera for the 26th March 2020 for Tosca and I booked directly on the Sate opera site, according to advice that using agencies would be more expensive. However, I see that I have not booked confirmed tickets, but reserved for a particular price range in particular seating areas. The booking states that actual tickets will be allocated in the price range should they become available. Is this more or less a formality (that they become available) or is there a high chance that I will not actually get tickets due to non-availability? How could I improve my chances of actually getting tickets allocated? Or is it possible to buy confirmed tickets straight away, as I did not see such an option on the State opera site? Many thanks, Andris

When I booked online (also to save fees) I got the precise seats at the time of booking. I was also charged right away. >>> Same here. Note: you'll need to go to the box office and exchange the certificates for actual tickets in paper. They look quite fancy, go well as souvenirs :) I bought booklets with the history of the performance in the box office, too, about 5 euro. I suggest you contact the box office directly, there are very helpful ladies there.
Does anyone have any advice as far as the Row 17 seat 6 and 7 in Parkett Links section of the floor seating? Is the view good? will I struggle being petite?
