Schwerin Castle is beautiful! We travelled from Hamburg to Schwerin, and we weren't disappointed. The inside is as spectacular as the outside. Couldn't believe it only cost 8.50 euros each to visit. Full review by lets-go-explore27

Hello, we are very excited to visit Schwerin Castle the weekend of April 21-22. I have two simple questions, please. We are free to come either Saturday or Sunday. 1) Is Sunday better (in terms of tourist numbers and also is there a tour in English)? What time? 2) I understand that there is only one tour in English each day. What time of day is that and may we reserve two places in advance for the tour in English? Thank you very much for your help! Best regards, Alan Weber

Best time to visit is Spring; castle is open 10 AM to 5 PM but closed on Mondays; last time I looked ticket prices were about $11 for adults and $9 for seniors. Suggest getting a guide and tickets in advance (We have good luck with Viator or Get Your Guide). We loved our visit but also took a boat cruise on the lake. Boats are located next to castle. Enjoy
Hello, we live in Utah (America), and are very excited to be coming to Schwerin the weekend of April 21-22 (between two business conferences in Hamburg and Hannover). I have two simple questions: we are free to visit the castle and gardens either Saturday or Sunday. 1) Is Saturday or Sunday a better day to visit (tourist numbers and availability for a tour in English)? And we understand that there is only one tour in English each day. 2) What time of time is that and may we reserve in advance two places for the English tour? Thank you so much for your help! We didn’t find any free parking at the castle. There’s no parking on the castle island itself, but there’s paid parking across the field from the castle bridge, in front of the Altstädtisches Palais. You can pay by the ticket machine or Easy Park app. Other paid parking possibilities are also available close by and they’re visible on Google Maps unlike this one.
