We had a good time at the beach. The water was clear and warm and it was clean. There were plenty of grassy areas with some shade trees if you didn't want to be out in the sun. Good family atmosphere! Full review by beachcruizer77
Tomorrow Sat., 9/15/17 we would like to go to the beach since it will be in the 80's. Are the concession stands open in September? What bars/resturants are withing walking distance?

Herings Sand Bar should be open - it is ON Sandy Beach - otherwise it's a mild walk to our quaint downtown.
