Beautiful national park with plenty of cacti and desert landscapes. When we went we watched storm cells pass over the desert in the distance, and it was absolutely beautiful. Full review by kionsomewhereelse

Beautiful! This is the smallest national park so it wasn’t like I experienced at other parks with large visitors centers and other amenities. But it was worth the visit. Full review by 708carrier

The interstate goes right through Tucson and the NP has both a west and an east section. Either one is only about 30 to 45 min. max from the highway to the visitor center in each section …

The interstate goes right through Tucson and the NP has both a west and an east section. Either one is only about 30 to 45 min. max from the highway to the visitor center in each section Try putting in your map app on a smart phone - Tucson to the Red Hills Visitor Center (West part of the NP). You'll get a good number that is likely in that range.

King Canyon trail is very nice but quite rocky. Parking is very close to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum which is also excellent.
