Hi there :) We live just a few miles down the road from Pattinson and VERY rarely see bears. We sometimes hear them at night and see evidence of them regularly. But we hike our own woods often and have never actually seen one during the day. As far as Pattinson, I have hiked there for over 15 years and have never seen a bear on a trail. Of course there is always a chance but I would think it highly unlikely. Always be prepared and you could give Them a call at the office there too but I assume they’d echo what i’m saying. Happy hiking! They have some fun trails.

Hi, Can you tell me if there is cell phone coverage at the park for AT&T or Verizon? I'm planning a visit to the park this week but due to an ill family member at home, I want to be sure I can have access to voice and/or text.
A:
I have US Cellular and it is very spotty, the Park Ranger we spoke with had AT&T he said it works but also spotty.
