Great museum!! Well worth your time for learning about the history of Charleston and the US - also has a nice section for a natural history museum. Great for kids and adults! Full review by lynntamblyn

This is a typical regional museum, with exhibits on local history, natural history, etc. It is well laid out and the staff at the front desk were particularly friendly and helpful. It could have usā€¦ Full review by Paul H

The museum is quite impressive, housing numerous local historical artifacts. The layout was thoughtfully designed. However, placing an artifact near the restroom entrance seemed like an inappropriateā€¦ Full review by faustotravler

We have one day in Charleston. How much time should we set aside to visit the museum and both houses?

We did the museum in about 2 hours and we love history so we took our time. The house tours didnā€™t take very long you could definitely hit a few.
