King Ecgbert School is a large 11-18 secondary school of roughly 1400 students, including a sixth form college of around 380 students. Our school is situated in Dore in the south-west of Sheffield, close to the Peak District. We serve a vibrant and diverse catchment, stretching from the very edge of the city to the very centre, following the Abbeydale corridor; we are a truly comprehensive school. Part of Mercia Learning Trust, King Ecgbert School is rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, was awarded World Class School status in 2018 and was voted World Class School of the Year for 2019. The Integrated Resource at King Ecgbert School was established to increase the range of educational provision for children with autism.
