I will be in Israel in November without a car and love walking in the Jerusalem forest. I have found many hikes that are accessible with public transport, but would love to do the circular walk at Har Eitan. Is there any way I can get there by bus (or nearby?) Many thanks

Leah, If you park in the lower parking lot the stairs to ascend are very steep(and there are a lot of stairs)...if you park from the top parking lot (where most of the buses park and there is a building) then you can walk down the hill and judge how far you want to walk knowing how far you need to walk back to your car. You will experience nice views this way however will not make it down to the Spring (I am not sure if that is important to you or not). I hope this helps.
