Just a 5 minute walk from the (payable) car park, the ruins of the old castle are still impressive and interesting. Information boards are dotted about and the grounds are well kept. Shame about th… Full review by JulietS301

A slow walk to the beginning of the ruins - 5 minutes max it’s gravel then grass. Wonderful history and views to be seen. I am disabled and I walk slowly and to the gate - 5 minutes. …

Yes take poo bags with you as not many bins the only dog poo bin is on the entrants gate to the park hope this helps

Yes it's all good for a pushchair. May be a little bumpy in places but generally ok.

You can follow the Castle Road right down to a dead end. On the left there is a gate to enter the grounds. Park on either side of the road allowing enough space for others to manoeuvre, normally no restrictions here. Alternatively park in the nearby cafe, have a drink then walk down. About 10 minute walk.
