It has scary moments, but it is not a typical "Boo House" where actors jump out around every corner. It has amazing special effects and lots of startles. There are a few actors that do jump out, but I think you will love it. Talking portraits, man eating plants, spiders and more! Hope that helps!

My 7 year old was fairly scared and we vacation at haunted locations and watch scary movies. She is usually quite desensitized but this was a different experience. I would not take a youger child or one that has not been exposed to scary stuff in context. Hope this is helpful.
