*Please note the opening hours listed relate to our Playful Cafe. The Castle itself is now closed for the winter with the exception of events. The estate is open daily throughout the year. Magnificent turreted Morayshire castle with a Playful Garden and over 400 varieties of daffodil. Step back in time to the castle’s glory days, when the Brodie family were one of Scotland’s most prominent families. The Playful Garden is home to a fascinating menagerie of characters inspired by the castle’s quirky and colourful history, including Scotland’s biggest bunny sculpture. First visit to Brodie Castle and loved it! Allan our tour guide was brilliant - a bit dour and sarky and perfect for brining the castle history to life. Full review by TimandPat55

My son is nearly 3, were recommended visiting Brodie Castle but is there enough to do at the castle itself for him? I see there's playful gardens there also but its another £30 (with my wife, father and myself). In total it would cost us pretty much £60, and we're only really going because my son is called Brodie, so he can say he's been here! He'll have little patience for actually looking inside or doing a tour etc.

It’s maybe worth considering jointing the Trust (it’s a charity) and you get into all National Trust sites (UK wide).
Is it guided tours only? If so, we'll go elsewhere. Can't abide being herded.

Brodie Castle is currently trialling non-guided tours. Please call ahead first to ensure you can book for this as opposed to the guided tour, if this is your preference.
What times do the tours run on a Saturday? We hope to be there sometime in the afternoon. Thanks

Hi, I'm not sure about the times for the Tours, we called the castle before arriving and didn't do a tour as I am in a wheelchair and can walk a little but very slowly.

Hi, only service dogs are allowed within the castle. Dogs under control are welcome in the grounds. Water is provided by the outdoor seating area outside the shop. We do ask that dogs are on leads on the walk around the pond and in the shrubbery garden by the castle. Enjoy the grounds and the woodland walks with your dog.
