For those from other cultures who are offended by nudity, the sign in English at the entrance gives adequate early warning. It's a narrow beach and a good spot to watch sunsets. Access has improved w… Full review by JP W

This beach was absolutely breath taking but it is a nudes beach which ruined it for us... we felt awkward and felt like we couldn't really enjoy the scenery or explore the caves because of all the ol… Full review by Olivia K

The beach is wonderful, but we had a hard time finding it. We drove by the parking lot and realized we passed it. The parking was a small dirt lot with huge holes. Be careful parking. We followed … Full review by FaA2013

We stayed at the Sapphire beach club. Nice place with nice people. Could look out at the ocean from our balcony. The beach is a 9 minute walk from the hotel and super convenient. If you have exceptionally high standards for accommodations, something else might suit you better. But if Cupecoy is a primary reason to stay, Blue Sapphire is nice and close...Rent a car too!!

My wife and I are visit SMX in late June, and we are planning the beaches we want to visit? Is the entire beach clothing optional or is it necessary to hide away in one of the coves to go nude? Also, can we rent chairs and an umbrella? And can we get food and drinks at the beach?

You won’t regret it. My wife and I were at Cupecoy last year for our wedding anniversary last June and we enjoyed every second. I’m a naturist and this beach, in addition to Orient Bay and Happy Bay (french side)is the only clothing optional on the dutch side. We liked it so much that we are going back late June to spend our weeding anniversary again.

We used to go to Cupecoy every year back in the early to mid 80's. Was great; one can't imagine how much the island has changed since then. We now stay on French side near Orient Beach, but intend to be there for the full month of June and intend to go back to our old hangout a couple of times. There used to be steps on the eastern side of the beach; are they still there, or do we need to walk down to the far end to reach the beach? As a point of history the west side of the beach was very nude-oriented back then; no big issue in any event!

There are still steps to all parts of this beach but the sand is variable since the hurricane in the early 90's. It tends to move up and down the beach quite dramatically. It is still very much worth a visit. Dany is still there with the best ribs and drinks on the island but the changes around with the development have seriously eroded the character. This is true at many of the beaches particularly Bay Rouge. The beaches though are still the best reason for visiting the island.

The beach is on the Dutch side but only a few hundred yards to the French side. The best things about St. Maarten are the beaches shopping (duty free) the butterfly farm and Lotterie Farm with a zip line. A car is most useful and the driving is on the right like in the US and Europe. The island is not big but traffic is slow.

Hi- we are traveling there to Villa Mumbai in March with 3 of our kids. We loved Grand Cayman but wanted to try something different...now I am really worried about the "tags" linked to our area, including nude beaches and the high degree of GLBT visitors...what can you tell me?

Pretty sad reply. Judgement without even knowing anything. Classicl. No thanks for your opinion.
