Crawfordville is a city and the county seat of Taliaferro County, Georgia, United States. The population was 479 in 2020. Crawfordville was founded in 1825 as the seat of the newly formed Taliaferro County. It was incorporated as a town in 1826 and as a city in 1906. The community was named after William H. Crawford, U.S. Secretary of War and Secretary of the Treasury.
