I don't know when they changed the rules and regulations but you can no longer grill at Castle Island or Carson Beach without a permanent and Carson Beach is gas grills only without a permanent at least that's what I was told on Monday August 10th 2020 just before they kicked us off the beach, I have been going to Carson Beach and Grilling without permit without any problems or trouble for over 10 years then August 10th 20/20 problem
